Compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), and propane are known as “dry fuels” because they provide little or no lubrication to the valves and seats during engine operation. Consequently, rapid wearing and failure of the valves and valve seats is common on engines operating on alternative fuels.

Because of its location in East Texas, MABBCO has been providing engine related services to the Louisiana oil field and Texas agricultural sector for over half a century.  In that time, MABBCO has developed a particular expertise in remanufacturing engines operating on alternative fuels.  MABBCO alternative fuel engines are well suited for stationary applications, as well as, cars, truck, and taxis.

This MABBCO® ALTERNATIVE FUELS Remanufactured Long Block is intended for a Power Solutions International (PSI) 4.3 262 motor. This long block is identifiable by its PSI block casting. Each MABBCO® long block is custom assembled as ordered so please call for current build times. MABBCO® ALTERNATIVE FUELS long blocks include NEW pistons, MOLY rings, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, timing set, gasket set, oil pump, lifters, freeze plugs, and HARDENED valve seats.  Customer MUST provide a rebuildable core.  Cores for exchange or outright purchase are not available.  Prior to shipment, all MABBCO® ALTERNATIVE FUELS are assembled with PRIDE by an experienced builder. MABBCO® ALTERNATIVE FUEL engines are tested and checked to assure proper assembly.
