The L33 was the final version of the Vortec 5300. It was an aluminum version of the LM7, with several tweaks that improved performance.
It included flat-topped pistons, Cathedral-style intake ports, and D-port exhaust ports.
The LH6 was the first of second generation 5.3 Vortect engine and serves as the replacement for the earlier LM4.
It included aluminum heads and block. It included the performance tweaks the L33 included.
LH6: 300–315 horsepower, 330–340 lb-ft of torque
